Collaborations || Edit 58

There is no doubt that collaborations are in vogue and for good reason. The word ‘collaboration’ seems to encapsulate a huge variety of approaches. From simply placing one product in another person’s shop or home right the way through to two creatives working together to design, develop and endeavour to bring synergy from their two talents.

I will admit to the latter being my absolute favourite. This week’s guest is a real expert at just that. Lisa Mehydene is the founder and creative director of edit 58. A self confessed interiors obsessive, she has built a thriving business which has been a part of many successful collaborations - Kana London, Matilda Goad and Molly Mahon to name a few. There is even a new collaboration launching this week!

It’s all about the coming together of strengths. Isn’t that what a collaboration should all be about?

I am sure that you may have ideas of collaborations that you would love to instigate or work on. Or perhaps you have done them in the past and they haven’t been great. Or maybe you have done some great ones and want spurring on to do more. Simply put, if you want to do a great collaboration then listen to this episode and walk away with buckets of wisdom and excitement about your next project!

The crucial thing is that the outcome is better than either creative could do alone or singularly.
